Thank You :)

Thank you everyone for the smurftaclar support you showed for this project! In the end, we reached $137,000 and over 1,050 backers. We’ve had a blast throughout this campaign thanks to everyone who came to livestreams, posted on social media, spoke with us in our Discord, and engaged with the campaign. To each and every one of our 1,052 backers, thank you from the bottom of our smurfs. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Garmageddon: Smurfrector’s Cut

As a token of our appreciation, we announced on our final smurfstream that we are opening late pledges for ~1 month post-campaign to let more people enjoy the Smurfy goodness that this campaign has to offer. What does that mean for Garmageddon? You can probably see where we are going with this, but we are happy to confirm that all late pledges will count towards our smurfberries and our efforts to escape the dastardly Gargamel!

Smurfwillow and the rest of her Smurfs have bought us more time to escape Gargamel’s clutches, but they can only keep him distracted for so long. For Garmageddon, we will continue to count your smurfberry total until we close late pledges. Once that happens, we will update everyone on whether or not we have escaped!

As of today, we have 14,000 Smurfberries and need 16,000 more to escape! Spread the word to everyone that late pledges are open and act fast before he captures everysmurf for good!

Stretchier and Social(y)er Goals!

In a similar smurf, we are also allowing late pledges to count towards our in-progress Stretch Goal and we are keeping our final Social Goal open! To unlock our final stretch goal, we need about 13k more in pledges! Additionally, to unlock Grandma Smurf, we need 6 more posts making Papa Smurf impressions.

If all goes well, we should unlock these well before the late pledges close! To encourage smurfybody to post Papa Smurf impression, we will add 2k berries to the Garmageddon basket once we unlock Grandma Smurf :)

What Now?

Now that we’ve talked about all the late pledges and congratulations stuff, we want to go in-depth as to what the next steps are for the project for all our first-time Kickstarter backers.

So what now? Well, things will be a bit quiet while we work to get everything ready for our pledge manager Backerkit. We will go in-depth about what Backerkit is in our next update. While this is going on, we will move to bi-weekly updates, then after Backerkit opens post-holidays, we will move to monthly updates.

In these monthly updates, we will talk about everything from development to manufacturing, to shipping! If you want to stay up to date on where the project is at on the projected timeline, keep an eye on this Kickstarter page and stay subscribed to emails from Kickstarter.

So what do you do now? Well mostly play the waiting game and spread the word on late pledges while the team works in the background to get everything done. Now that the Kickstarter is wrapped up, we will work to get the final files ready by the end of the year. From there, manufacturing will begin. It’s a long process and we plan to not be delayed by Chinese New Year, as we will do a sample review over this period. We will consistently post smurfdates so everyone is aware of where we are at all times. After manufacturing is completed, everything will take 1-2 months to arrive by boat and then we will package things up at the fulfillment center and ship them to you! Our goal is to have everything done and dusted by July of next year!

This is only the beginning of this campaign, but thank you for helping make our dreams and aspirations for the Smurfs TTRPG possible.

10K Smurfberries Collected!

With the completion of the Smurf Memes and Bake-a-Cake categories and thanks to all of our wonderful new backers (over 1000!!!), we have officially crossed 10,000 Smurfberries! With this, a Gargamel Standee will be added to all Baby Smurf (or above) pledges so this nefarious wizard can be represented physically at the table! Our final push is just starting though! 

With just under 11 hours to go, we must smurf ahead to 20k smurfberries and beyond to unlock a brand new adventure map! Not to mention, we are also ~$15k away from yet another adventure map as a part of our $150k stretch goal:

Spread the word folks as we get through this home stretch! Every pledge matters and you get a great game out of it :)

We are so close to unlocking Grandma Smurf! We just need 7 more Papa Smurf impressions and we will unlock an entirely new playable character AND unlock social goal 4 to try to quickly unlock one more before the campaign wraps! 125k Stretch Goal Reached, The Beginning of Garmageddon, and a Social Goal Update!

Garmageddon has begun! But before we get into that, we reached our 5th stretch goal last night!

Our 5th Stretch Goal Has Been Unlocked

We have officially hit 125k and with it, a new Smurfs standee pack is added for free to each all-in tier (or you can purchase it individually as an add-on)! This pack is designed to bring even more Smurfs to life at your table outside of the ones included in the core standee pack. Once we have the list of Smurfs included in this pack finalized we will share it in an update. In the meantime, congrats on a new unlock, and let’s begin to push for 150k and beyond!

Garmageddon Has Begun!

Ok, so we are technically at 40 hours left as the campaign closes at 11:59 pm Pacific Time on Saturday (aka the end of the campaign). That being said, we marked our starting points at the 48-hour mark and it is time to start doing everything we can to ESCAPE GARGAMEL.

Your goal is to escape Gargamel before he rounds up all the Smurfs. How to do this? By collecting enough Smurfberries to allow you to hide from the evil wizard! You can collect Smurfberries by doing any of the following:

1 Smurfberry for Each Dollar Raised!

2 Smurfberry for Each Backer Who Joins the Campaign!

5 Smurfberry for each new Social Goal Submission!

For our starting points, as of the 48-hour mark, we were at $125,164 pledged, and 936 backers, and we saw 6 posts for Social Goal 3! That means at the time of this update, we are already at 2,956 Smurfberries!

Make sure you spread the word so we can get to our first unlock at 10k berries ASAP! The Gargamel Standee would be added to all pledges at the Baby Smurf tier and above and it would take up its own sheet due to its size! This massive addition would bring true terror to all the Smurfs at the table. Get to 20k berries and we will unlock a brand new adventure map depicting Gargamel’s Hovel for the Smurfs to escape from (or explore if they are brave enough!). Finally, at 30k, a brand new adventure will be included in the rulebook for EVERYONE for free! Surpass 30k and who knows what could happen!

In the meantime, we are going to cook up some Smurfs memes of our own to contribute to our social goals and help gather some berries! We will share them in the next update :). Speaking of Social Goals…

Social Goals #3 Update!

We are doing great on Social Goals so far. We’ve already seen 2 memes posted and we are just one cake baked for the Smurfs away from completing that goal! One thing we haven’t seen yet is some Papa Smurf impressions. 10 brave Smurfs need to step up to the Smurf and to help encourage everysmurf, each Papa Smurf Impression over the next 24 hours will be worth 30 smurfberries! That means if 10 people post their impressions today, we automatically get 1% of our goal. That is worth more than someone pledging at the Papa Smurf Exclusive Collector Tome tier! Get your Smurfpressions going smurfybody :)

On a less competitive note, we want to shout out a particularly Smurfy Social Goals post. @ChaserRay on Twitter Smurfled the “Bake a cake for the Smurfs” challenge and knocked it out of the park:

Teasing our Final 48 event and Social Goals Update!

Hello friends,

Are you ready for…Garmageddon?!?

Garmageddon?!?

If anyone here has backed our previous Smurfstarters, they’ll know we like to go big with unlocks during the final 48 hours. This time around, we’ll be finding out if you can Escape Gargamel. If you can escape...Garmageddon.

While the campaign is set to close at 3 AM ET on November 24th, we know people have jobs to get to Smurfday morning, so we will start our final 48 hours a little early to give everyone extra time to outwit Gargamel (and maybe some time to sleep). Starting November 21st at 9 AM ET, smurfyone will need to work together to escape the clutches of the evil Gargamel. More details on this soon to follow, but beware as he may be just beyond the shadows of the forest…planning.

Social Goals #3

That’s right everyone! We’ve completed Social Goal #2 and have officially unlocked Clockwork Smurf!

But the fun doesn’t stop there! We are moving on to Social Goals #3! We’ve had some pretty out-of-the-box Smurfs unlocked thus far, so why don’t we all relax and unwind, and help Grandma Smurf bake some cakes.

This time around we are asking fewer Smurfs to contribute to the goal, but those who do are in for a fun time! We want 10 of your best impressions of Papa Smurf! This could be via video, a story, or a tweet sent by the man himself. Who knows! Get creative :)

Second, we want 10 of you to create your own Smurfs memes and post them. Super simple to do and everyone likes to have a laugh!

Finally, we want 5 people to bake a cake for the Smurfs. If cakes aren’t your forte, we’ll also accept things like brownies, cupcakes, cookies, etc. When it comes to sweet treats, we aren’t too picky.

In case you need a refresher on how to participate, we put our classic spiel here for you:

To participate all you have to do is post your submission on any social media platform (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc) and tag @TheMaestroTeam with the hashtag #SmurfsRPG. From there, we monitor these platforms for any and all submissions and add them to our count for the social goal! Your submission will not be counted if we are not tagged in the post or if the hashtag is not used, so be careful before posting!

Tiers Deep Dive Part 2, Stream Tomorrow, and Social Goals Update!

We are back to talk more tiers, the new add-ons, streams, and social goal progress! Let’s not smurfy-dally here and start with Smurfette’s Deluxe Set!

Smurfette’s Deluxe Set

The first tier contains our special edition core rulebook, this book brings together all the contents of the starter box in an alt-cover hardcover edition! In addition to this, it is also the first tier with the Smurfed Up Dice Set! This set is resin and each D6 contains a mini-Smurf within! Additionally, it comes with 4 character sheets, a standee pack, and a double-sided map to get your adventure started!

Farmer Smurf’s All-In Starter Set

Farmer Smurf is the first of our All-Ins and boy is this smurfed to the brim with goodies. In addition to the key items we have already discussed like character sheets, maps, standees, starter box, etc, this also comes with a plethora of add-ons. It comes with effort and smurfberry counters for your table to use, blue Smurf dice and a matching dice bag, a Smurfs RPG-themed dice tray, AND Handy Smurf’s Deck of Useful Items which every storyteller will love to have on hand at the table. In addition to this, all stretch goals unlocked thus far are included in this tier FOR FREE! This tier and it’s Smurfwillow counterpart of the 2 top deals of the campaign.

Papa Smurf’s Exclusive Collector Tome

This tier is similar to Smurfette’s tier with one key difference: an awesome collector tome that stores your special edition core rulebook, dice, and more! We are still working out the exact dimensions of everything, but it will be a handy storage solution for some, if not all of the items in the tier!

Stream Tomorrow!

Tomorrow Jason is going to stream with Clint McElroy, an insmurfly talented individual who is also writing the first of our guest adventures! To get all your gameplay questions answered and get some insider knowledge on one of our unlocked adventures, tune in at 4 pm EST tomorrow and be ready to sing a happy song!

Social Goals Update

We are just 2 custom Smurfs away from unlocking Clockwork Smurf and moving to our third set of Social Goals! With any luck, we may even get to announce the unlock on stream! As a reminder, the Smurf Creator is in the quickstart guide which is posted on our page! Looking forward to seeing some truly unique Smurfs!
